Learn the story behind Mickamaster Studio, a small Winnipeg screen printing shop focused on better garment choices, durable prints, and service people can count on.

Our Story

I noticed a recurring theme when I’d purchase printed shirts - everything was great at first, until the inevitable laundry day came around. That’s when many of these “premium” products would show their true colors (no pun intended).

Some would shrink an entire size - and sometimes more - after the first wash. That, combined with a folded-up bottom hem, stretched collar, and cracking print, was bound to offer a terrible experience. It’s hard to feel like money was well spent when you’re left with something that’s basically a donation or a rag after a few weeks.

That got me thinking - did quality go down over the years? Are companies really cutting costs that heavily to maximize profit? Why does it seem like a ton of research is needed just to make sure you get a decent shirt that won’t fall apart?

And if budget tees are all a customer wants, that’s fine. But why not offer upgrades? Why not at least give people the option to choose a better garment, instead of locking them into the cheapest possible choice?

That frustration is a big part of why I started the business. I wanted to play a small role in keeping things better in this industry. If I can provide people with garments that actually feel good and prints that hold up over time, then maybe I can play as a counterpart in this cost-cutting culture. With that in mind, Mickamaster Studio was born.

We are a small startup screen printing shop in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

We don’t lock people into one choice.

We offer a range of garment options, prints made to last, and service people can count on.
